Brand Really Does Matter – generally speaking, all waxes within a specific company’s brand name will have similar characteristics. There may be minor differences, for example titanium dioxide, fragrance or colour, however, it is the basic combination of raw ingredients, or the recipe, that determines how your wax performs. Whether your wax is made from synthetic or natural resins will greatly affect it’s properties, however, the colour or the smell won’t make much difference.

It’s important get impartial expert advice when choosing a wax – in the end, YOU are the one who knows your salon environment and customer requirements and your supplier should know all the features and differences between brands. Be wary of run out waxes or everyday low price specials on waxes – there is always a reason for this and inferior raw ingredients can smell horrible and perform badly.
